Morgan Stanley is 1%. Alliance and Leicester still is too.

American Express Platinum is 2% if you spend more than £5k p.a. It's a new card, so possibly an introductory gimmick, but i ain't arguing!!

AMEX are more trouble than they're worth....hardly any outlets will accept them due to high charges.

thanks for replies
amex - waste of time - too many places wont accept.

Telboy -
alliance Leic - 0.5% for first £12000 in each year - then 1% above £12000 spend.
Morgan stanley - 0.5% for first £2000 - then 1%

looks like Morgan stanley one then.

the reason why the web and places like scoobynet are tops. -

I once went to see a financial advisor to re-arrange - my Mortgage, endowment, with profits policies and c.card.

and I knew about more policies/ int rates/ deals etc. than him
all with a little web surfing.

ended up doing it all myself.

thanks again

Thumbs down

STOP ......

Morgan Stanley have just changed the rules - it's now 1% for the first £2000 and 0.5% thereafter - might still be the best though !

thought egg used to do it too ...

I too have a Halifax card.

Do you think that my local petrol station will let me buy five years of fuel in advance on the card - before the cashback rate drops

Sure Amex isn't as widely accepted, but to say it's hardly accepted is incorrect. I run a visa as a back up, it probably accounts for about 20% of my yearly spend. The other 80% is 1% back.

A mate at work has just recommended Leeds & Holbeck to me after extensive seaching 0.5% for first £2000 and then up to 1% after - seems to be a Morgan Stanley card...

Thinking of changing since Goldfish have de-valued their points scheme

Egg Credit card is 0.5% on everything. Had forgotten they'd changed it.

Now looking at the Capital One card mentioned above in the thread, as it looks like 1%.

Anyone know what the Cap One online banking is like? Egg have a groovey system where you can look at all your bank accounts (including those from other providers). I kinda like being able to see everything on one screen with only one login to remember.
