Any suggestions ?

Hello
Not wishing to dis-illusion your friend, but most of the hotels in Paris are flea pits....
I stayed in one for work a few weeks ago, costing €140 a night and STILL got bitten by fleas. I couldn't believe it.

Stayed here as part of a coach trip last weekend:-

Bit of a dodgy area on outskirts of Paris but near to Metro. Rooms were clean/modern. I think rate was around 70 euros per room.

I stayed in Hotel de Invalides just around the corner from the Eiffel Tower (10-15 min walk) and it cost about £180 for 2 people for 3 nights over valentines. Very clean, very friendly staff and brekkie was 4 euros and really nice!
Email me if you want any details.

YHM back steve. My mistake - brekkie was 7 euros per person but hey thats **** all anyways. And you can always nip out to the local creperie and stuff your face.
