Hello

Not wishing to dis-illusion your friend, but most of the hotels in Paris are flea pits....

I stayed in one for work a few weeks ago, costing €140 a night and STILL got bitten by fleas. I couldn't believe it.

Stayed here as part of a coach trip last weekend:-

Bit of a dodgy area on outskirts of Paris but near to Metro. Rooms were clean/modern. I think rate was around 70 euros per room.

I stayed here a couple of weeks ago and it was fine.

Can't remember the rate but it might be on the site or you could call.

Excellent location.

Try "Ibis", "Climat", and "Campanile" Hotels. Easy to book, around €70 per room per night, clean with en-suite. Loads to choose from.

I stayed in Hotel de Invalides just around the corner from the Eiffel Tower (10-15 min walk) and it cost about £180 for 2 people for 3 nights over valentines. Very clean, very friendly staff and brekkie was 4 euros and really nice!

Email me if you want any details.

YHM back steve. My mistake - brekkie was 7 euros per person but hey thats **** all anyways. And you can always nip out to the local creperie and stuff your face.
