My neighbours don't use their garage and im thinking of asking them if i can rent it off them. How much will it cost me in rent per week or month? I know they would ask me how much im offering so i'll like to know the going rate.

Lock ups and garages are usually advertised at around £15 a week in the papers i think.

Ive rented one before for £25.00 a month but your best to just make them an offer

I rented one last year from the local council here in sleepy Somerset for £6 a week (approx £25 pcm), this is about the cheapest you can rent for. If you are in an urban area then I would expect the rate could be higher, if you can rent it for £30 to £40 pcm then it is a good deal.. If I were your neighbours any less than that would not be worth the hassle...

Just to scare you, we have two manky garages in the Greater Watford area in Herts and they will easily rent for £12 per week. No electricity either ! Have sold one such garage before now for £4,000. No kidding. So I guess you are looking a slightly less than these figures in Brum.

The garage is only 16'2" X 8'0" (4.927 X 2.438) So what does that mean? my maths are well pants

i rent mine from the MOD, its attached to the married quarter i live in

i pay approx 50p a day = £17.50 a month

saying that, i only pay £180 a month rent for a 3 bedroom villa style married quarter
