Roy Keane was defended by Sir Alex at the post match press conference:
" It was not intentional, he just left his sword in there and the guy made a real meal of it, he made it look a lot worse than it was. I have reviewed the slow motion tapes and it looked 50-50 to me. We will be appealing against the 2 match ban to the FA ".
