They'll make a mint.
Lot of idiots out there in very expensive cars who can't afford a ten pound cable
I thought there was some govt legislation coming in stating you had to have an official car kit. don't know if I'll be getting rid of my bluetooth for a fixed jobby though.

The French have passed a new law about this which came into effect yesterday - anyone caught on the phone whilst driving gets 2 points deducted.
Will the UK follow suit? Maybe.

I was about to ask the same thing.
Licence is currently clean but peaked at 9 a few years ago. I'm sure with amount of time I spend on the phone I should be able to get caught sooner or later. Gotta build up some credits!

I haven't seen a write-up on this law, so I don't know the ins and outs of it. I assume they have banned ALL calls, even if they are hands-free.
The thought occurred to me, that if someone was talking totally hands-free, how would the traffic officer actually prove they were talking on the phone, they could just be a nutter talking to themselves in the car. Or does the "guilty 'til proven innocent" rule apply?
