Which camera?
#1
Going to buy a new camera soon. Will mostly use it for holidays/pictures of the cat/wildlife and need advice on which type to buy.
Don't use a PC at home so probably dont need a digital so have been looking at an Olympus MJU II ZOOM 170 which won Which Camera recently.
Anybody any experience of this or an APS camera and where can you get a good deal.
Thanks

I sold my APS camera last year; images were fuzzy thanks to the combination of small negative and dodgy built-in lens. APS is good if you want the flexibility of the different photo sizes, but not if image quality is your top concern.
I now have a Canon EOS 33 SLR and some decent lenses, and prefer to get films developed by a pro lab (Peak Imaging). The resulting photos are certainly a vast improvement, but with an obvious penalty in cost, size and weight. You pays your money and takes your choice
Tip: you could always go digital and get your digital images printed by a lab - that may work out cheaper, depending on how many shots you actually want to print. I get even better results from a digital SLR than I've ever had from film.

I currently use a Nikon CP 5700 digital - great image quality, and instant results. As an aspiring amateur, I take loads of pictures, and as Andy says, it would cost loads to have them all developed professionally from traditional film.
Last time I went to Australia, I took about 600 pictures using traditional film, and it cost loads to be developed. I'm going back in 3 months and will be taking my CP 5700 and hopefully a new Canon D10 + lenses, and would anticipte taking infinitely more pictures.
