Ireland code for mobile number?

dont know if this post is in the correct place...but,
ive got a mobile number of a friend, its 10 digits, beginning with 085.
however, he lives in ireland. i seem to remember you have to use a code in front of it for ireland, anybody know? ...think it has a 3 in it

blimey that was quick..
replace 0 with 353 then, what do i do about the + ??

00 353 85 ****** if from a landline in the UK
+353 85 if from a mobile in the UK (you get + by pressing the 0 continuously until it appears)

the 00 is to tell the phone system its an international call, same as the + on a mobile.
