Saw it this morning going towards Swindon from Newbury....

4 Riot Vans
Blue Spacewagon
2 Police Landrovers
The bikes made sure they were constantly moving....
Never seen anything like it before
anyone else see it or know what it was all about???

There were 6 bikes waiting for something on The Avenue (A33) in Southampton yesterday lunchtime - this leads to the M3 and is one of the ways out of the docks, so I wonder what arrived???

BTW there's two brand new Truvelos on the A3024 into/out of Southampton where it goes through Bitterne - these are not active yet but have appeared since yesterday - it's a dual carriageway with a 30 limit and they're round a corner on a hill.

Could have been an ESK1 which is the escort of a Nuclear load, or a CAT A prisoner escort or any number of high risk escorts that have to be done.
If it was slow moving, it was probably an ESK1 which i used to hate doing, if it was moving at a reasonable pace then probably a CAT A.

There has been lots of activity on the M4/A34/A419 the past few weeks I guess all down to the movement of munitions from RAF Welford up to Fairford.
Anybody noticed that "road works" have suddenly sprung up on the M4 at Welford ? They start just before and finish just after but there is no work going on. Stops the tree huggers getting there I suppose.

Was an escort going through doncaster town centre like that the other day. 306's had everywhere blocked, there were bikes everywhere but no sign of nothing to do with it all. Couldnt stick round to look as they were moving traffic a bit at a time.

I saw the convoy on my way home - passed it going east on the M4 before Membury services. There were two police bikes stopping all the traffic leaving the services - presumably so they couldn't hijack the convoy. Interesting stuff.
Of course everyone was going past at 65mph in the outside lane!!
