my god what crap- it was like fast and the stupid....only more crap (and that is quite something)
stunts- made no sense, it was like the A Team with cars and bikes jumping of hidden ramps everywhere....and what the hell was the motorcross bike bike jump/superman stylee hang off/shoot baddie thing! about as beliveable as someone using a laptop to monitor their nos while doing a 35sec 1/4mile in 9.8...oh....hang on...!
and the leading lady was as rough as the story.
and what the heck was the boat/sub/bomb thing that chugged of down the river to casue mayhem to the world looking like a regect from thunderbirds!
and as for plot holes.....why did sam jackson and all the top brass meet up on the bridge to watch what they expected to be a city (they wherenow in) getting blown to bits! maybe they'd seen the script?
T
ps- what is the american passion for ignoring ferraris and lambos and instead bonding with ugly bits of yank rubbish- xxx's car was a rust bucket!

I quite enjoyed it - just a bit of eye candy!
Enjoyed the start with the Corvette and the sign on the back 'Skateboarding is a crime'

it was a real pile of dross from start to finish
it was a re-hashed a-team I may be mistaken too but wasnt the "submarine" more of a hydrofoil too?
o well another hour and a half of my life wasted
Didn't think the Girl was that bad though
[-edited to say omg Paul you stole my "Eye candy" line! -]

I thought the new bond movie was just as 5hite!
You can't take these films seriously when you watch them, i don't think that you're meant to.....they're just bit of a laugh to watch and rip the crap out of.

I agree, it was a 'turn off your brain for 2 hours' movie.
Sure some of the stunts and gadgets were unbelievable, but...
it's a frigging movie!!!
Personally I liked it, then again, I also liked Tomb Raider.
Edited to say where do I fit, I belong to this generation but yet have tux and a rolex (no aston martin yet!)

I haven't seen it and would hate to see it. We have a guy here at work who actually seems to believe he IS Vin Diesel! He wears shades indoors, outdoors, middle of winter because he wants to be Vin Diesel in Pitch Black. Sad but true.
Isn't the leading lady in xXx Dario Argento's daughter?

T,
It's not real you know, it's a film, it's not supposed to be "realistic" you know
You weren't seriously expecting it to have a good plot, be realistic, or stylish were you?
Matt

a good stunt should be an actioned carried out that, while possible in real life, would actually be very likely to end in death.
a good stunt is not something that could not possibly happen anywhere!
