We have a BT Synergie 2150 cordless phone (with 2 handsets) & the base unit has gone dead.
BT say they can fix whatever is wrong with it for £70 max
New units with 2 handsets are a lot more than this however I notice that a new base unit & 1 phone is about £50
My question is - will the new base work with the older 2 phones ? same frequency etc etc.
If it does it makes sense to buy just a new base & have 3 handsets - just not sure if a new base unit will work with the handsets bought over a year ago ?

Yep, you will have to switch off all of the phones, plug in the new base unit and switch on the phones individualy. This should register them with the new unit. There should also be an option to force each handset to register with the new unit
