Ok around the same trime as terra hawks there was a series on bbc one in the mornings i think that was another puppet thingy, not any of the G anderson stuff.

It had a spaceship which had a long neck and a boxy back section with the wings making an X (like an x-wing).

There were three seperate Red ships which all joined together to make up a large man type robot Like Power ranger but well before thier time.

The main characters were 3 men and a princess, one of the men was black, the other had ginger hair and the 3rd was the usual hero type.

The only other thing of relevance I can remember was that the Princess had something to do with the changing mellinium where she would get a power to sort the universe out and the baddies didnt want that to happen.

Anybody got any ideas as to what it was and links if poss??????????

Aha -

Shiro Hagen
Barry Hercules
John Lee
Princess Lamia
PPA (perfectly programmed android)

Commander Makara
Captain Orion

The ship was called X-Bomber!

I've also got a site where a chap has put the entire series onto VCD!!!!

I've been sent one - each episode was 1 hr long too!!!

I'll try and dig out the link
