BBC News topic, Muslims Protesting 6.00pm???
#1
just seen this on the BBC website...
The Muslim Association of Britain (MAB), one of the organisers of the national Stop the War alliance, has urged all Muslims to protest peacefully on the streets of their respective towns at 6pm on the day following the start of bombing.
Anyone know if this is going ahead? - It mentions Leicester and Birmingham in the article

seriously I don't like protests on the street because they attract extremists from 'both sides of the argument' whatever the argument happens to be
I don't like hassle so would rather not be in the vicinity

These school kids were ****ing me off last night, one kid fresh with Oxy10 to keep the zits at bay was on about democracy and they had the right to have a say
feckin kids, the voting age is 18 for a reason, kids no nothing about the world and have no experience to draw on, they live in a world heavily influenced by their parents views
Kids get back to lessons, *****

Can you imagine if these kids lived in Iraq?
"Daddy can't take you to school this morning Johnny, Mr Uday's men took him away last night and its unlikely we will ever see him again".
Get back to school.

Kids always seem to think they know best, I know I was like that when I was at school
but seriously how can these kids have any idea of what the real issues are
get back to Harry Potter or whatever is the in thing at the moment

What annoys me more than the obvious fact that Kids shouldn't be involved in politics is the fact that adults get kids involved, use them as pawns in the process
Shame on them!!!!

BBC yesterday had some school where the english class was getting everyone to write a letter of complaint to Tony Blair -
"Dear Tony, please stop the war because it's wrong and you will kill innocent Iraqis and I'm scared - Jonny"
Didn't see the "Sent a letter to Saddam" equivalent.
"Dear Saddam, we know (cos our left wing bint of a teacher told us) that you are a good guy and are trying your hardest to get rid of the weapons of mass destruction (that you don't have). We also know that you wouldn't dream of using them against anyone (again) and that those western leaders are only after your Oil - or so says Mrs Benn - our english teacher. We know that the whole of the world is against this war - except two men - Mr Blair and someone called dubble ya - Jonny. ps I'm going out to demostrate this afternoon cos it's double maths and I wouldn't want to learn something "

Just wondering what would have happened if one of the kids being asked to write a letter to Tony Stood and said something along the lines
"I'm fed up with being fed your left wing views when all I want to do is learn English - can we get back to classes and avoid you having your say in the classroom because you can't have your say with your beloved labour party".
