Question

What actaully goes on, near the Birmingham Wheels stadium?

There were hundreds of cars tonight parked along the street. Most of them looked a bit crap but I saw a 5 door Impreza.

Are they racing, chilling, cruising?

I didn't see any police.

Me and my mate's went a few times when it was in Digbeth (before they put speed humps down) but that was about 4 or 5 years ago. It was a good night out we would park about 1/2 a mile out of the racing and walk in, great for a laugh watching people wreck the pride and joy’s. At one point there were food trailers selling burgers and hotdogs cashing in on all the people that were watching. Things did seem to be a bit chaotic hundreds of cars racing about at ridiculously high speeds doing a manner of weird and sometimes dangerous things. The police were there but didn’t seem to ever do anything just walk about with video cameras????

Tim.

been there a times few times, some cars may look crappy, but try racing one of these in straight line. skylines, evos, ferrari, porshe, m3 are quite common there. Seen a few accidents there when it goes to far. not a bad night out , numbers are starting to grow. been going on for some time now. theres a madza from leicester which sometimes comes down runs about 2 bar!!!! quick car. rsturbo with a cossy lump in it. Its a good buzz. I am always parked clear away from it after a few cruise passes.

common to see about 4-5 scoobys.

I used to go on the occasional Sat night to Esses (S bends) and Wheels. As an above post said : Most of the cars will look not so good but they may be well tuned up. People down there tend to go for power and subtleness instead of looks. Esses used to be alot more fun..

Seen some very nice cars there. i.e Skylines, Cossies, Scoobs, Evos, Rx7's. Supras, Gtir's and alot more.. Just depends when you go. Summer tends to be alot better.
