Just been flicking through Friday’s paper (rather belatedly I know!) and read that some bloke got busted doing 140+mph in his 2.6 Octavia.
His punishment? A year inside and a ten year ban!
Does the punishment REALLY fit the crime? I don’t think so. Yes, he was driving extremely quickly and we all know the dangers/risks involved but surely there are more ‘deserving’ cases who should be sent down?

Are you sure it was just that. There's no way he'd get a 10 yr ban for just 140 mph. He must have done something else besides.
Biker last night got clocked at 128 mph average on the M1 on Car Wars. He got 2 months ban.

I remember the case and I thought it was harsh too. However, what we don't know is if he was overtaking peeps, driving dangerously, had previous convictions, etc. Maybe it was justified

A prime example is in my local rag this week as some retard has been caught driving whilst disqualified, with no insurance etc etc for the SECOND time. Prison right? No, £60 fine and 120 hours of community service. Yeah good work lads you keep the scum of the streets.
Yet further proof that to get a fair deal in the current society you need to be a crack addicted, heroin dealing, house burgling, benefit scamming, car twocing, mentally retarded sexual offender who is also cruel to animals and wants to marry his boyfriend!
