Recent figures for Appeals against Parking Tickets.

The 33 boroughs in London had 28,781 fines overturned ( 13,160 went uncontested).

My point is that not only do you have to doubt the honesty of the wardens but you have to be very careful that you keep copies of your evidence when you make an appeal.

 

You can always pay at the "cheaper" rate! When I was a bit slow in dealing with a couple of parking tickets I just sent off a cheque with the cheap rate and a relevant "old" date on it! Works every time - they've got their money; they're not gonna argue about a "slow" postal service.

 

i think i read somewhere that only 20% of ppl who get parking tickets contest them, and at least 50% of those get overturned....

so far i have had 3 parking tickets....contested all three,

two overturned and one was paid at the cheaper rate (the half price if settled within 7 days rate!)
