For lush grpahics, quick arcade style pick up n play but not much depth or challenge once you know where to shoot from try fifa (ea)

for not as good graphics, more of a simulation type affair, try iss.

FIFA games - for people who like flash graphics and easy to pick up and play gameplay ('on-rails). Played by shandy drinkers who aren't aware of the lesser known but superior 'ISS' range of games.

ISS - the true football game for the purist. As close to excellence as it gets. But - its very important to read the following so you choose the correct version of ISS...

'ISS' (Konami) was released last year alongside Playstation 2 - this IS NOT the version to buy - it was done by Konami's KCEO team and is pretty crap. It was rushed for release.

'PRO EVO SOCCER' (by Konami) will appear in November and is THE TRUE version of ISS for Playstation2. Its by KCET (Konami / Tokyo) and is the dogs bollock$. I've played the Japanese version for the last year called Winning Eleven 5 and it totally nails every footy game I've ever played.

BOTTOM LINE - if you want something you can master in 5 mins, buy FIFA. Otherwise, by the best 'Pro Evo Soccer'.
