Holiday in florence/tuscany - ideas required

Hi,
Going to Florence, Sienna, and Tuscany in general in June - anyone got any good places to stay?
Went back in 1984 when 14 with parents and stayed up in the tuscan hills at a farmhouse with outodoor pool etc - was fab. Had to have hire car though, and given I'm not 14 anymore, we both fancy a drink - so hire car maybe not ideal for whole time.....
So - maybe 3 nights in Florence, and 6-7 nights in hills - anyone been anywhere nice? And I mean, nice.....luxury!
