Thinking of having one built - can anyone recommend a good supplier (ie not cowboys !)
Should I go to a conservatory supplier or get a builder to put one up ? Which is better or cheaper ?
Any help or suggestions welcome...I am in the Guildford area FYI.

Ro.

We had one put up by a builder (who has now retired unfortunately), the supplier was Pandra Glaze, I think they are in crawley.... It seems to be fine

Edited to say steer clear of Zenith

I thought Stef was into that sort of thing. ...

I would also recommend steering clear of Zenith. I had bad experiences with them about 3 years back...

B&Q have a new range which is consoderably cheaper than the compo.Which is just as well cud the fitting will cost more. However, the fit is gauranteed for 10 years.Conservatory fiting aint easy. You need to be a good builder. If you go to B&Q it should be easy to get them to show you some previous work.

If it was me,I would go to the Warehouse in Nursling. The best guy in B&Q works in it and he is a top bloke.Don't ask me how i know!!He should flog you one.I doubt he will bounce you to Guildford.

Cool

If your into DIY & reasonably confident you could buy a conservatory from Wickes. Comes with easy to follow instructions, everything is labelled (even screws) & there is telephone support if you have a problem.

My wife & I put one up a couple of years back at our last house. Poured the concrete base & foundations ourselves, used a brickie to build the dwarf wall then we assembled the conservatory.
