my gf spilt a tin of tuna over the lounge carpet and we cant get rid of the smell

any tips as to how to nutraslise it we've tried all sorts but the smell is still there

Sprinkle half a bottle of red wine over the area that smells and leave for roughly an hour. Works a treat. You've got to be quick though. Go and do it now.

yeah funny, trouble is the cat keeps scratching the carpet there and is runining it apart from anything else, i tried lemon juice but has made the carpet lighter

i think its worse because it was in oil and not water may have to replace the carpet if i do I will get laminate i think as it would have wiped up no probs

weve got friends round saturday and the place is gonna stink of fish at this rate

i have been told to use the stuff from the petshop that u put down to stop dogs wazzing on the carpet so hopefully this will work

just as well spilt on the floor and not the new sofa

If you have a cat and assuming this is a serious thread () sprinkle cat litter on the area. That will absorb the odours.

ok i am gonna say this in the cleanest way possible

nature designed a certain area to smell after full s*x so as to put off another male from going there, its all from the days of caveman, when things mix a smell occurs

that is all i will say on this but if anyone does spill tinned fish on carpet or anwhere else the 'putting dog off peeing' stuff works

it was on a programme on sky, one of the discovery programmes I think bacically there is a reason for everything in nature nothing just happens by chance

it goes back to a territorial thing when the male dominated the herd and was competing for a mate and wanted to make sure other male of the speshies stayed away
