Im lazy so just bought 4 bags of mix from Tescos. Had some the other week and was suprised how good they tasted. 8 pancakes for 22p aint bad.
My fave is golden syrup (none of this maple crap) and lemon juice. Although squirty cream before the lemon is real nice too.
Dont put too much in or you wont be able to eat as many. I think 15-20 will be enough tonight.
Simon.
P.S. Trying sticking currants in the batter just after youve poured it into the pan. Well nice

Do you have savoury ones for dinner, or just the dessert? We'll probably start with "farmers' pancakes", with a filling of bacon, mushroom, onion and red pepper.... hmm...
...and I think I'll be on lemon and sugar, possibly vanilla ice cream for one, but I don't think we have any maple syrup at home.
So it IS today then? There is no such thing as Pancake Day in Portugal, but it's the national holiday of Carnival (watch the news for those girls in Rio!), which I think is the same.
Gotta tell my mate - we started this at uni, and then when he got married and I was best man, I used it in his wedding speech, saying that tossing pancakes gave him a nickname among his mates - "at least, I think that's how he got it!"
