For the past two weeks I've been interviewing at work for my own position (as I'm relocating to our Canadian offices) and need someone to replace me in the UK.
I've just finished the first round of interviews and am now at the point of seeing a handful of candidates for a second Interview.
I need some really good (but not cheesy or clichéd) interview questions for the remaining peeps so that I can make the right decision.
Anyone got any probing questions?

I interviewed some sales guys and for a laugh I stuck one of the candidates in an office and walked in with a Rubix cube and tossed it onto the desk and said "You have 10 minutes...OK?" Then walked out and shut the door behind me.
We all then sat outside waiting to see what he would do.
After a few minutes I opened the door and he thought that I was serious and was attempting to do it. He took it well and got the job.

LOL @ the Rubik's cube problem!
For what it's worth, I'd have dismantled the cube and reassembled it - takes less than 10 mins, and given that I'm a hardware engineer I figure that's exactly what anyone would expect

Nixs - what are the salaries in Canada like in comparison to the UK? I'm looking at a position in British Columbia, but don't know the salary yet. The houses are certainly a helluva lot cheaper so wonder if the salaries are also lower too!

Kevin, salaries aren't great if you're still thinking in terms of UK pounds, but the cost of living is low so it's all relative I guess. Canada's situation is apparently similar to Australia (similar exchange rate atm).
It's not something that really concerns me as I'm simply converting my UK salary to CAD $ with a nice relocation fee which is NICE
Property is rediculously cheap though from what I can see in the Toronto area, not sure about BC. Have a look at the URL link below (sorry not a clicky one)
