Ok, going to a mates stag day in a few weeks time and he's decided he wants to go paintballing. Lots of first timers so we'll all be in the same boat

Anyone got any tips(apart from not getting shot)?

1)Don't be a wuss it doesn't really hurt.
2)If you think your going to get into it buy your own mask (double glazed), as club ones fog up.
3)Take a bit of tissue with you into battle just to clean outside of face mask
4)Never ever remove mask apart from in safe zone.
5)Get stuck in, don't go ***** footiing around to much as you'll run out of time.
6)Wear a decent pair of boots offering plenty of support.
7)Dont bother with paint grenades
8)If you buy a smoke or too check which way the wind is blowing.
9)Don't be a wuss it doesn't really hurt.

Agree with Cookie - get stuck in & go for it

I also used to wear a wax cotton jacket under a cammo smock with a hood, wax cotton trousers & a pair of gloves. Then it <I>NEVER</I> hurts

Jeans are the worst

The only other piece of advice is that if you have to give back pellets at the end of the day, then your not trying hard enough Buy 'em & shoot 'em - as many as you can

I would beg to differ with the get stuck in...

as soon as you're hit, you're out

so although it's temping to run in there, firing like a lunatic, you'll soon find out that the way is to get some cover and then work out where you're going, pick off people and get in there but don't leave yourself open...always have a quick butchers at the threats around you as well as how many u can score

another thing - no matter what, dont aim at others in the neck u may think this is for their safety...it's for yours if the guy sees it was you that shot him

test your gun - if it's crappy then go and get them to sort it straight away

if you get shot and there's not a steward about, quick rub of the sleeve hell, you paid the money

don't be afraid to shoot - i walked up behind some kids and put the gun into their back. we were told to do this and make them surrender. like **** that works, they turned around and blew me away.

oh...last point, don't pick up ***** that have gone on the floor. it's so tempting...it doesnt look like they've picked up moisture...but they ultimately screw your gun and your game.

Wear soft, loose, baggy clothing on the outside (and possible heavy stuff, as Puff suggests, underneath).

If you are lucky, the paint ***** will not burst on impact, so you won't "die"!

Depends...if you were blatantly struck by someone and he knows it, you know it but nobody else does - then it's up to you to go out. But if it's a few minutes into the game and you get hit by something that has ricochet then I would stay in.

Work together in groups say 3s.
All shoot at the same target together.
Talk to you team mates tell them whats going on.
Have a plan of attack / defence
Go for semi auto guns rather than pump action as they tend to be more acurate.
Use cover, dont stand together.

If its hot you will sweat like a piggy with lots of clothes underneath your suit. Shorts and a t shirt will do. Use gloves and a scalf to cover any visable skin as paint ***** can break the skin.

Most important of all have fun and insist on a Stag hunt at the end of the day.

If they have a voluntery mad free for all with no cover to use up left over ammo when the game is finished don't take part. It DOES hurt a lot if you get hit about 50 times in a couple of minutes. Also someone is bound to get you in the 'nads

Don't play with Germans.........

On our last outing a mate got shot point black by.... guess who ... the German.
Vee vere only obeying orders he cried as we pistol whipped him to the floor (I wish).
You should have seen the state of the guy who got shot tho... nasty.

CRAFT

Take some fairy liquid and some tissues, smear the fairy on the inside of the lenses
and this stops them from steaming up.
Also maybe take your own paintballs, much cheaper than paying their prices, obviously buy some off them when you get there to create the illusion. You will enjoy

Turn your gun upside down so the hopper does not feed the gun and fire into the ground until white smoke appears from the muzzle. The next shot will be more powerful.

Last time I played I slipped whilst running for cover and bent my foot the wrong way (toes to heal) Spent 6 hours in Casualty and missed the rest of the stag weekend. Luckily, didn't break anything but couldn't walk for weeks!!

Never, ever, hide up a tree. It's not big, it's not hard and it's not clever. You might get a few shots at the unsuspecting foe, but trust me, unless you're a monkey and can swing from limb to limb then when they find you up the tree it's party time, and you will be literally shot down from the tree.

oh, and be careful out there!

Try not to cath a paintball straight on the face mask. The plastic masks usually have a grill over your mouth. This does a perfect job of bursting the ball, stopping the casing and allowing the paint to carry straight on in you mouth. Ughhh !

Don't shoot my mate john when hes just had one on the side of the head and has his hand up to request assitance. Last bloke that did that had the entire gun thrown at him
