can anybody help me with this one

I have noticed that some of my desktop ICONs keep changing and also when using windows explorer the file icon keeps changing ie yesterday they all showed as photopoint files today they are shown as powerpoint files

they still open ok when double clicked

Wierd can anybody help

sounds like your .ico relationship is dodgy. Mainly caused ny a corrupt registry. If it isn't really bugging you I would leave it as it is. If you want to fix it, look in file type (Explorer, view, folder options.) Find file type 'ico.' Check that it is not associated with any program.

Sounds like you're shellconcache file is corrupt.

If you're using Windows 9x then search for the file (should be in the Windows directory) and delete it. Then reboot. Windows recreates the file on boot-up.
