Unhappy

I'm only on day 2 of a 5 day plan
I feel like I've got flu.
Nothing that makes you feel this bad could possibly be good for you.
I'm determined to do five days but I'm struggling to cope with
Constant headache
Hot sweats
All over aches
Shakes

This is like a monster hangover.

Depends on the Detox, but I believe that most plans suggest you either drink nothing but water or allow pure fruit juice.

5 days is a LONG time to eat nothing at all though...

Cool

The detox that i did for seven days was to drink only water and eat solely fruit.

It isn't nice at all.

You feel tired/lethargic/no energy, stomach cramps, headaches, nausea, may have loose bowel movement .....but it is all part of the detoxification apparently.....

Is there any point if you're not going change you're eating/drinking habits? I couldn't think of anything worse eating lettuce leaves and drinking Kaliber for the rest of my existence. LOL

They ( kandy clinic)gave me a small lump of what looked like "Paki black" ( street name for a type of hash).

I had to take it with hot water. Then drink 2 litres of hot water. Then no food/water or toilet for 12 hours!! Things started to get horrid!!!! at the end " You go for Queen and country" I kid you not!!!!

The smell from my pee was terrible. after a days rest. Things get back to normal.

It cleans out all th old toxins /krap etc lingering in the body.

Remember....old style medicine is good stuff!!

Red face

Drink for breakfast and lunch, vegetable stir-fry and brown rice for dinner.
The drink is a mixture of nuts, fruit and live yoghurt.
MY head hurts
My wee smells
I'm pooing for England

If this is the inverse of the damage I'm doing to myself with fats and sugars every other day then it's a surprise I'm not in a worse state!

Remember
Pain is weakness leaving the body!

I'm drinking gallons of water!
I feel dreadful, really ill.
May have to get a Big Mac and make it all better again.
Not sure how to 'come-down' from a detox, can't help thinking that a cup of sweet tea would make my head explode.

Why detox when it gives you:

Constant headache
Hot sweats
All over aches
Shakes
MY head hurts
My wee smells
I'm pooing for England

I usually get this for the next few days after a monster beer and curry night although detox is probably cheaper

But getting to that state isn't as much fun on the detox option is it?

Day three and thing are looking better.
Only a slight headache today, went to the gym before work and did a passable impression of Douglas Barder on the running machine so stiffness no better.
Discovered the source of the worrying smelly wee, asparagus in the stir-fry.
That's a relief.
Only two more days to go after today.

Wink

Stick with it ! I had pretty much the same symptoms as you. I did a cabbage diet at the same time of doing a detox.

Felt pretty amazing after the 5 days, couldn't believe it. Lost a good few pounds, felt fitter and definitely felt mentally sharper.

Need to do one again very soon as months of alcohol consumption has undone all the goodness!

Thumbs down

It is worth detoxing from alcohol, benzodiazepine or opiate addiction.

Sounds like a ****ing stupid thing to do otherwise.

Lets eat only extract of zanilla fruit for 14 days, stuff up our fluid and electrolyte balance, make your body toxic from ketones and other abnormal metabolic byproducts, risk kidney failure and cardiac arrythmias, collapse with injuries resulting, and mental distress. Should not the discomfort of the procedure awaken a little bird that says that it is rather silly?

Muscle cramps and abdominal discomfort are common signs of impending electrolyte imbalance.

Healthy diet, regular exercise, sensible alcohol and no ****/drugs and no extremes all the time works best.

Thumbs up

He's a doctor! You can't argue with that and everything he says makes sense to me. You can't say that drinking nothing but fruit juice for a week is good for you

When I went to the gym a lot I could actually 'see' the difference certain foods would make to my body. If I'd been on the sauce the night before and had only had an MD's all day then I'd be shattered after 1 hour in the gym and could only bench press say 70kg. If I'd got a good night sleep some cereal in the morning and a well balanced lunch come gym time I'd feel much more alive, could go for much longer and could lift more - 80kg. I could actually 'feel' my muscles bursting with energy! Run your body on the food equivillant of optimax with NF booster and it will reward you just as your car would
