Moved from trackdays....not enough views

Note sure where to post this but this looks like the best shot..
done a search for lids and not really come up with what I am looking for, so...

What lid should I go for, as trackday season is now fast approaching.

went into Dave Parry Motorcycles in Chelt to ask and have a quick look,
the poser in me tells me to get something with a good paint job,
the racer in me tells me to get an open face one (for good vision)
personally i think open face looks gay.
and my neck tells me to get something light.
couldn't give a toss about price (within reason)

any favourites!!??
Mr Parry suggested shoei as the best to go for.
Your thoughts and mumblings below please
Oh and he said BS mark is now obsolete
only stickers on the helmets he showed me were gold "motorcycle racing approved" ones..

Thanks
Andy

Well I like Dainese but then I used to ride so it was used for real applications, even tested the one before the current one. Good impact protection...

Of course you are spending a lot for the name.

If you don't need the gold sticker (race approved for bikes) then is it worth shelling out the extra.

You need to find a brand that you like the design of and that actually fits your head... I found Arai uncomfortable (so get shot for that).

Get something with FIA approval or Gold ACU (bike) and you'll be laughing. For inside a car, Open face or regular helmet without a visor will be fine. For Bike use (and Go Karting) I have an Arai Quantum F. Fits my shape of head. You either have a Arai head or the other type.

Make sure you try on loads of different sizes, a poor fitting helmet is pointless. If its only for Car use, try Bell or Simpson as well. Simpson do the Bandit "Stig" style lid.

Try and find a local Motorsport stockist and spend a few hours trying on everything. You'll eventually get a result.

WHAT SIZE HEAD ARE YOU?

I have an unworn full face AGV with unionjack type motif all over it,and a British bulldog on each side, chin and forehead vents, its an XL and I payed a fortune for it.

I say its unworn I lied,Ive worn it once at Outon park in Mellows car..

Ill sell it if you want it,as Im not buying another bike.
