I am going to Raindance tonight.
Its going to be amazing.
Its Raindance's return to the SE1 after an absence of two years. Last time it was too hot but this time 500grands worth of air management system will sort that out.
Nothing else matters apart from tonight.
I cant think about anything else.
I was meant to be taking a couple of girls down to it for their first ever rave.
But her phone has been off all day so it looks like she's bottled it.
It doesent matter.
I'm going with my raving crew.
Approximatly thirty of us are gonna descend on the place and set up camp in the hardcore arena.
We will be near the front of the queue at 10pm.
None of us will leave till the last tune at 7am tomorrow morning.
All of us will be stomping like maniacs all night.
It is not a wall to wall superstar DJ line up.
A lot of the DJs are up and comings.
But it doesent matter.
We dont go there to get pissed.
We dont go to pull.
We dont go there to be "seen".
We go for the music.
We go because we love the music, and always will.
We go because we are hardcore to the bone.
Hardcore to the marrow.
Throughout the night we will see people which he saw last week.
and we will bump into people we havent seen in years.
But they will both be greeted with a big smile and a hug.
Because we both know we are there for the same reason.
Its because we are hardcore ravers and for a brief time, that is all that matters.
For nine hours tonight, the world will cease to exist.
All that I will be concerned about is what tune the DJ will play next.
What Lyric the MC will drop next.
and when the two come together, I will acheive the nirvana of the spine tingling rush, even if its for the smallest moment.
All the pressures of the working week and my personal life will wash away as the rush races down my spine and through my arms and legs.
This is not a chemical induced rush. I am a raver, not a drug addict.
The rushes tonight will come from the love that I have of the music and the knowledge that everyone around me feels the same way.
The music brought us together and will keep us together.
Till the end of the night and we go our seperate ways.
Saying are farewells with a smile and a handshake, Knowing that next week, we will be doing exactly the same thing.

I am going to a mediterranean restaurant tonight.
Its going to be quite good.
Its the first time I've eaten out in ages, was meant to be going last week but the missus was tired.
everything else matters apart from tonight.
I can think about everything else else.
I was meant to be taking a couple of girls.
I still am, unfortunately one is bringing her husband , oh, and the missus of course.
It doesent matter.
I'm going with my freinds - see above.

What I don't understand is why you feel the need to come on here with some cut and paste raver's poem? 
Plenty of people have great nights, great weekenders etc and manage to keep it to themselves - or at the very least tell people about it afterwards
All this 'look at me I'm soooo into the music, so wasted woohoo, cor I'm mad, me' just doesn't do it for me. I'd hope you know that the best nights are generally not to be had at large organised events too.
Hardcore? Methinks not.

Most of us have tried it in the early 90s.. To me dancing alnight with a water bottle in one hand and a whistle in another screaming 'make some noise!' isn't my idea of fun anymore. But each to their own.
