* drinking binges
* regretting thinks done or said when drunk
* feeling low or guilty after drinking
* failing to honour a resolve to drink less
* drinking to alleviate depression or anxiety
* avoiding family or friends when drinking

How about not being able to cope without a drink?

Sneaking drinks at work.

Drinking anything with an alcohol content.

So I take it if you say yes to all 6 you should join AA. On the bright side, if you spend an extra couple of quid you can get AA Relay, which gets you home when you get so pished you forget where you live
