Question

When I close IE the little 'stay connected/disconnect' prompt screen that used to appear has disappeard. The only way to disconnect from the internet now is to right click the two pc icons then select disconnect.

I don't mind having to do this but I really want my little prompt screen back Where has it gone and how do I get it back???

Sal.

Answers in simple terms please not techy speak

OK try the following to see if it helps..

With IE open choose Tools and Internet Options

Select the Connections tab and locate and highlight the dialup connection you use and the nclick settings.

Click Advanced and the dialog box should have an entry "Disconnect if connection is no longer needed" or something (not sureon the exact wording).. Select this option and then select OK on each page until your back to IE..

You may need to close IE and disconnect the dialup for the new option to come into effect.

Hope this helps

Regards

Sal - Ignore the above post - it will kill your PC. I will mail you a picture of the dialogue box. You can print it out and hold it up in fromt of the screen if you need it

Sorry Ga22ar - Sal is giving me a hard time elsewhere on the board using her moderator status to have her own way. I couldn't resist this chance to get one back
