Agreed! It sounds like it's detting, but it's probably nothing more than the just the equalisation of the sound recording.
I have heard an '02 Sports Exhaust (on a 911) in person and they are loud but v.cool. Much more like the sound of the original air-cooled motors...
They use some 'movable baffles' and meet the drive-by noise regs but then they open up at higher revs and all hell breaks loose.
This is all very clever but I have heard some reports that the cruising noise can be a bit much.
Given that they can actively control the volume like this I expect that it is only a matter of time before we see switchable exhaust note systems!
