BobaFett,

Thanks, but I'm told it has to be a P3 Slot 1 (Not slot A as I was originally told).

Anybody got one of these lying around and want to sell ? Mine has just died and the shops don't seem to stock these any more.

Cheers

I could let you have my son's PIII 550, but he'd want paying.

What do you think it would be worth?

Thumbs up

Slot A is the original AMD Athlon design so, yep, wrong name.

I've got a P3 450 (100Mhz FSB) sat in our store cupboard.

You can get convertors for the new fcpga chips (or whatever the damn name is) that'll allow you to plug a new chip into your slot 1 mainboard.

All you need to find out is your bus speed (100 or 133) of your mainboard.

You can get convertors for the newer fcpga type chips that'll allow you to plug a new chip into your slot 1 mainboard. Try a reseller, or a computer fair is a good place to get one, cost about £10.

All you need to find out is your bus speed (100 or 133) of your mainboard and get a processor to match...

Good luck

Edited to say..what happened there..Froghorn Leghorn.? I say I say...
