Got one few months back. Written about thousand cds, not one coaster!!

Plextor is cool, very good, got the 12 Speed version when it came out, not one coaster to date.

Lo there,

Just got a plextor 16 (write) 10 (rewrite) 40 (read).

Works liks a dream and is also Burn Proof so wont create any more coaters.

Highly recommended.

Me too, although the IDE Plextor's have taken some bashing recently in the press reviews (I've got SCSI)

lo,

Dr hu - IDE this time, got a 4x external scsi, but needed an ide internal for booting cd's from (as my scsi card doe'snt support that)

BobaFett - Yep thats where i got it from

when it comes to cd drives i always go for scsi plextor - accept no substitute

anyone done a 16x write though ?

Thanks Chris, sounds cool. I've never had any problems with my current CD-writer but if I'm in the market for a new one then this look good...

Just to let you all know, today at SCAN computers you can get Plextor CD writers cheap.
