Sol Campbell

Just heard the news a few minutes ago on Sky Sports.
My old man said way back in January that he'd go to Arsenal. I think it was around the time that Sol was saying s*** like, I want to stay at Spurs and want to sign a new contract. My theory is, he never intended to sign a new contract. It was just a way of keeping the Spur's fans sweet. That way they'll think he really does want to stay and is committed to the club.
Then, when he announces that he is leaving, the fans turn against the board, as they feel that Sol was not offered a decent contract AND, let's not forget, Sol himself said he wanted to sign a new contract, back in January (yeah, like he meant it).
Cheers,
Tom

Bl00dy funny this whole thing....he's unproven at the top level and still gets a shed load of money to sign on the dotted line
Still he has reduced the average of the Arsenal back five by about 10 years

I cant believe hes done it. I hope he breaks a leg in the first game, and that he wins f**k all.
Im an avid Manchester United fan, and I was one of few that did'nt want the greedy git at Old Trafford, and to be honest...I am somewhat glad he aint-
"Oh, Sol Campbell, went to Arsenal and he won f**k all!"
For all spurs fans, I am gutted for you, for all Arsenal fans, wait till the white army walk up that hill next to highbury to the away stand from the tube, and they rip your staduim to bits! Grrrrrrrrrrr

Sol Campbell won't make a huge difference to Arsenal. Vierra leaving will.
I still think Man Utd and possibly Liverpool will be challenging come the end of the season.
Me ? As a member of the toon army I think we're looking at mid-table mediocrity (again). Can't believe our 1st team coach just joined Southampton for goodness sake!
Qualifying for Europe is becoming SO important these days - if only to attract top-notch players, otherwise they're just not interested in joining. I give Bobby Robson one more season to get us into the top5, but like I just said it ain't gonna happen, which means Newcastle will need a new coach for the 2002/2003 season.

Got a couple of good mates who follow the toon. Ones a season ticket owner and goes religiously, I miss the teams of yesteryear where footy was the only thing on their fans minds come 15.00, and not wether they were going to win the footy lottery or guess when the first corner is.
Having got proper drunk with a load of Newcastle fans when I was a student after you trounced us 5-0 and Phillipe Albert had the cheak to lob Schmeicel, I can safely say that the joy with your fans is you love football. I was sat with a Man U shirt on in a pub, full of jordies and not one person said a bad word to me....Rock On Friendly Footy

Scooby Regular
£200,000 a week for kicking a bag of wind about a field - there's something seriously fuqked up in this picture........
Price cap the wages (£300 per week max - hey like its HARD work - NOT!) and make the player live in the town they play for, for 5 years first - or even just the goddamn country - JEEZ! - over commercialised sport - its a crock!
IMHO of course
p.s Does anybody else think that pay per view is also a crock of ****e? - I mean go ahead pay once and pay again for the REST OF YOUR LIVES DUMBASSES!!
Nobody pay, no pay per view - like DUHHHH!!!
also IMHO of course
Dr Hu - feeling goddamn rebellious today!

If you could choose to watch your team each week and pay say a tenner, I'd do it. Better than shelling out £110 for tickets £15 on travel and £20 on food for an afternoon out.

So glad he didn't come to United
I don't reckon many of us wanted him - I'd rather have a decent right back.
All he's going to do is destroy the Arsenal wage structure/team spirit (I hope )
See you all at Hampden Park
