Does anyone know a good web site for using MySQL. I have it on my PC but have no clue how to create the database. My aim is to use it for the backend of my website. Anyone got any pointers?? Ids it something that will run on a standard hosting package or does it require some special get up??

cheers

once the mysql server is running just type "mysql" - you should connect ok.

then its "create database abc123"
and "use abc123"
then "create table blah..." etc.

Will only run on hosting packages that explicitly provide it as they need to create a database for you. We run it at

Once I have read thru the link from steve, I will be in the market for a hosting solution. Whats the cheapest you do Lee, that will support MySQL bearing in mind I will just be learning and not creating much traffic/using much space?

any more links to good MySQL resources gr8ly recieved.
