Can anyone help a friend of mine with a Saxo VTS.After doing a track day 
the gearbox has been noisey in reverse and has just started to jump out off reverse and nick going into 3rd 
To me it sounds like a rebuild but has anyone got any ideas 
Any help would be grateful

I used to have a 106 GTi, I think they use the same gearbox as the VTS.
Mine was very notchy. Reverse was sometimes pretty hard to select but mine never popped out of gear.
I took it to Peugeot on a few occasions but they never sorted it out (as with any of the jobs I gave them!).
I don't reckon he needs a full rebuild, but perhaps he has abused the gearbox?!
I'm sorry I can't really suggest anything, but I would recommend taking it to a specialist and not a franchised dealership!
