Does anyone listen to John Peel on the radio?

yeah, he was quite entertaining in his 'Perfumed Garden' radio show on pirate radio in the mid-sixties, playing the sort of toons the BBC didn't.
He's still alive then, I take it?

I'm not a fan.
I admire the fact that he's doing what he loves, but to me 99% of the time he's either messing up ("oh sorry, I'm playing this at the wrong speed") or is playing absolute pish.
He's definitely different though and so I hope he's on the radio for a while to come...
Andy.

He is a true enthusiast and his legendary ****-ups are endlessly amusing I think I like the informal atmosphere of his shows too.
He does play some dodgy stuff, but everything he chooses has some kind of 'twist' to it, and it's good to listen to stuff you normally wouldn't give the time of day occasionaly IMO.
In fact... I may give him a listen this eve as TV is so dire
