Anyone help me.
I have my host PC set ip 192.168.0.1
if i set my second pc to 192.168.0.2 i can use shared directories, but internet connection sharing doesn't work.
If i set the second one to obtain ip automatically, connection sharing works, but when i try and connect to shared directories.. it say's "Network path not found".
I need to share the connection and access shared folders .. how can i do this???
Help me
Cheers
Andy

Hi Andy
On your second pc just use any DNS entry
Host name should be the name of your Second machine..Domain doesn't matter but if you want to put the name of your 1st machine (the one you are trying to connect to for internet access)
and the DNS you can use
158.43.240.3
158.43.240.4
These are UUnets DNS Servers ... once you have done that just connect to the internet and then try and ping from your second machine to

Your slave machine can DNS using your host machine - ie. enter 192.168.0.1 in the DNS tab in the network setup on 0.2.
If it still doesnt work, there are a few tests you can run to diagnose exactly where the problem lies and sort it accordingly.
Email me if you're very stuck. ian@corsasport.co.uk
