All

I need to transfer some cash into a personal bank account in Spain quite quickly.
My bank says if I go into my branch today & sort it then the money will clear in the Spanish Account by next week but i need it a little quicker than that - any (not expensive) ideas ?

Ro.

Go into a proper bank and organise a SWIFT/IMT payment, it's same day.

It won't be cheap (CHAPS is about £30 and swift will be more I expect), but if you want same day...

Just to let you know, my SWIFT transaction took three days to clear - it all depends on how clued up the receiving bank is.

CHAPS is uk banking only - electronic cheques if you like.

I can explain if someone really wants to know.

If you need to get the money to someone out there then you could also try going into a Thomas Cook office. They will transfer money to the nearest Thomas Cook office, the recipient would need to have ID such as passport etc

This happens really quickly, in a matter of hours when I used it.
