Cheeky B*****d - The Return
#1
Hi all,
Some of you may remember a post of a house mate who downloaded loads of dodgy stuff on to my computer.
Well, at the time I didn't say anything, I assumed he wouldn't do anything again after being sprung in front of all of us. How wrong I was...
Went on computer an hour ago and noticed a disk in the drive. Looked at it and it is all the stuff that was on my computer before. What the hell is he doing??
He was on the computer last night (I said he could. First time he's been on it since incident. I've got bios p/w and screensaver p/w). I went downstairs to watch a film thinking that he wouldn't try anything again.
He had also started to download something, but cancelled it. Needless to say, I was really p****d off, so I confronted him.
Fed me a lot of c**p that he was getting it from his Hotmail account. Why would he do that as I know he has already got this s**t on his computer. Anyway, said I was not best pleased and he went all quiet. Also said that if this happened again I would be doing more than talking to him. May seem harsh, but believe me he deserves it.
Anyone know how to make sure I get rid of all his stuff, cos I tried before and it kept reappearing under 'Files and folders', under 'find'??
Sorry about the rant, but I am fuming
Cheers,
Tom
P.S. Looking at house tomorrow, for next year.

Richard,
I think you're right. I told him that if he did it again I was going to whoop his **** and I think that he took this quite seriously.
I finish university in a week so I may slap him around a bit on the last day... just for the crack
Cheers,
Tom

In answer to your question... Empty the cache on Internet Explorer (in IE, tools/options then empty cache button)
Find all files more recent than... from the Find files and folders start menu item.
Sanity check before deleting anything, and only delete jpgs/gifs etc.
Hope this helps somewhat...
Nick.

Apart from knocking six beels of **** out of the ****, NEVER let him on yout PC again. Beware that he could (I doubt he's clever enough, given what he does) disable your BIOS password with a jumper on the motherboard.
The only way to be 100% about the content of your PC is to format and reinstall IMHO, but backup your stuff first
David
PS - give him a jab to the kidney for me
