The time of year has come again, when the lads pack up and go on an annual weekend away. Nottingham is this years venue, so as the post reads, where the best place to head for!?

Im far to old to go drinking in Notts these days
If you head for the city center you realy cant go wrong, there must be a pub every 10 yards.
Nottingham has a large student population which leads to a very lively night life, its a good place to be.
Jeans and trainers arnt allowed in most of the pubs in the city center and a good place to start is probably to head for the market square and look for Yates's.
I also head away for a weekend away with the lads at this time of year and were heading of to Edinburgh in march....cant wait, next year its Amsterdam

Sorry to dissapoint SimonJM! lol
Apparently Nottingham has a ratio of 4 or 5 women to 1 bloke, so needless to say we are looking forward to it. Hope it lives up to its reputation! York was **** last year!

It was about 1:1 night due to just about every southern shandy drinker and northern monkey turning up.
It was just about as busy as Christmas last night.

Well, obviously the reason the ratio has dropped is because all the best women have moved elsewhere!!!
Nice to see the rumour is still doing the rounds though
PS, having not lived there for quite a while, does The Garage still exist?

Nottingham is supposed to be home to the prettiest girls in England. Anyone who has seen me knows this as FACT LOL. Actually, I have to say, I used to be a die hard Nottingham drinker but I haven't been for years. Been molested by drunken scum once too often to be bothered now to be honest! Too dangerous!!
Waterfront is prob the best place to start. I'd also recommend joining the Casino on Maid Marion Way and spending the night in there! Drink till dead late, loadsa gambling and rich ladies
Have a good time

There are too many bars to cover in Nottingham.
You say young lads.....
Liberties, City Bar, Berlins are popular with the under 20s/student types, followed by a visit to Palais, Ocean or Isis. If you're looking for a slapper, or you are a slapper, you should be especially likely to go home happy (if not alone).
Feeling old now... (24) few of my favourites (in no particular order) Casa, Walkabout, Bar Oz, Q Lounge, Lloyds, Priory, Revolution, Eleven, Pitcher and Piano, Brass Monkey, The Social, Indigo. Trendy young talent then head for Bomb, Media, or Market Bar. Worth a pek into Lace Market bars like Glasshouse, Sugar Bar, Coco Lounge.
If your dream night involves lank-haired indy type a decent strike rate can also be attained in clubs like the Cookie Club, Rock City, and the Rig and the bars near to those.
Just wander along any of these highlighted streets and you'll find atleast a hundred bars.
What's all this Derby lark????
As we sing in the Trent End...
No offence like. Derby is a great city....
For any Welsh wishing to go on holiday!
