anyone got one or had one? was tempted with a Barnett pistol type as shown in Loaded for summer games but dunno if it'll be up to a bunch of lads arsing about with it?

If it's just whether that breed will be all right...it'll last for a bit, but if you want quality and a long life, it's not up to it. If it's just for the summer, it should be fine.

Was looking at the small pistol type so they were 35, 50 and 75lbs... was thinking 50lb as that one has break action etc.
was thinking just for play with targets in the garden and not for serious hunting or comps etc. unless I decide I like it...
do you think id be better of with the full size bow rather than a 'pistol'?
If Barnett are a budget version who else makes these and what sort of dosh am I looking at? Barnetts full size bows are 200-250ish and from what Ive seen are quite well made so what makes the other makes better?
