Red face

Just had my Boxster serviced - an entry as follows appears on the invoice:

Mobil One Tri synthetic Formulation Engine Oil: £72.98

Plus the VAT of course.

Is this a record?

Oh, and while I am there I note that I also paid £21.15 for a "Pollen Filter". Which considering that I mainly use the Boxster on nice (i.e. non Scooby) days and therefore have the roof down could well have been a waste of money. Somehow I doubt that there would have been much pollen in it.

Angry

If someone tried to charge me that much for oil there would be hell to pay

Unless it was some extra special formula then you've been ripped m8.

Tim, if they filled your petrol tank with it, then yes, you have a world record bargain!

Thumbs up

It might not be too far off actually.
The first car spares place I looked at on the Web prices 1 litre at£10.25, and 4 litres at £32.95
Of course the garage must get it at much better rates, but the Boxster needs 8.5 litres for a change I don't think that I would have saved that much by providing my own oil....
