HI
My brother is getting married in July so I'd like to organise a stag do. I've never done or been on one before so any advice would be welcome!
I'd like to involve a petrol related activity into it somehow aswell as copious amount of beer!
We live near Bradford and would be prepared to travel and stop away somwhere.
Any ideas!
Bob

Get the lads to chip in for a Race Day at some circuit near you. I recently went to Knockhill and had a top day out.
You pay £250 each and get the whole day driving Rover MGFs, Single Seater Formula Ford, Skid Pan, Rally Cars - top day!
Or if the lads are loaded, you could do Jonathon Palmer's race day - thats a top notch event in Bedfordshire I believe (Audi TT, Lotus Exige, Elise, Caterhams, etc). £450 each I believe.

Go karting. Wolverhampton (think that's the place) has the largest UK indoor track - wouldn't want weather to spoil it!
I've been there anyway and have to say it makes for a great day out. You can hire the whole place for an afternoon and then it the town - Manchester is close by

I've just come back from a weekend do in Blackpool. Good nightlife, cheapish ( and understanding) hotels, and the people we bumped into in the pubs/clubs were generally very friendly. We spent the Saturday doing the pleasure beach (£25 for an all day ticket), hitting the big rides. It's not too far from you, and if there's a big group going do what we did and hire a coach.

Peaked your interest??
Well a mate of mine had his stag do, we went to London, did a few bars/ pubs. All by now a little inibriated, him more than others.
Then came the restaurant (about 8pm).
We decided this was the time for the dress... Were going to let him keep his underwear, and DM boots.
Then came the gestures from the nearby table of lesbians (about 6 of them) they offered to help, and we agreed.
They debagged him, totally (left the boots) and put the dress on him.
Much more walking the streets and many more bars followed......
Until the night bus at 3am.....
And yes, he still was wearing only the dress.
(and the best man still has the pictures, 5 years later and we still laugh about it... even him now )

Hi,
I've done many stag do's in the last year, most of them including some kind of petrol related activity.
1) Nottingham, did quad biking and laser clay pigeon shooting, before out on the lash on the saturday night. Then Sunday morning, to wake us all up we went Jet Ski-ing at a nearby converted quarry.
2) Northampton - Wilton Mill. Saturday did quad biking and Honda Pilots, sunday a Go-Kart grand prix!
3) Somewhere near Hereford, quad biking, air gun shooting, grass tracking in old Vauxhall Cavalier's and general arsing around. The place was a huge old house, with loads of land. We turned up on Friday evening about 6.30pm turned into the bar with some Hardcore German **** on the TV and the filthiest Barman I have ever met!! A laugh an a half!!
If you need some names and numbers let us know.
Jim

I have to second Mr Cookie!
I'm a best man in two weeks time,a nd we went to Amsterdam weekend before last!
Only advice, don't be crap like me and try and book a hotel for 9 blokes, 10 days before you want to go, and check it's not the busiest bank holiday weekend out there as well!!! As I said, I'm crap, but we got the hotel and flights!
As for what to do, we spend most of our nights (and money) in the Red Light District!!! It's amazing what 100 guilders (about £30) will buy you!!!
Then there's the smoking and drinking on top of that!!!
We got there friday afternoon, and flew back Monday afternoon. If you do the 'dam thing, remember to take an extra day off to recover!!!
Andy
PS - if anyone needs maps of amsterdam, coffee shops, bars, etc, drop me a mail and ask nicely!!!

I think the largest karting track referred to is in Warrington, not Wolverhampton. When I went there a few years ago it was expensive at around £1 per lap but a good set-up.
As regards for somewhere to stay, I went on a stag do last year and stayed at Shrigley Hall just outside Stockport. Top venue (loads of women), quality location and they welcome stag do's.
Well recommended!
