I've got a few programs i only need when connected to the internet via my modem (POp 3 Mail checker etc....)

is there a simple way of launching these programs automatically once connected tto the internet.. I'm pretty sure there is but I can't remember how it's done

Any help appreciated

Don't know if there is a way to set the shell to do it, but
