Sorry I didn't look at Scoobynet yesterday, I was out.

Joined Phil the Slayer for a practice (we're new as is John The Lurker) at around 18:50.

Just as things were hotting up, wife returned from work and needed to use MY PC for work, cos it's attached to her printer, bah.

Got back on around 22:15, had a do with John, Zone, Deano, Muppet, Phil (after midnight eek!).

Steve sorry I had to rush out like that, can we name another night too? Or is the server there all the time?

I need practice as my dexterity is lacking and my aim is bobbins. Also I seem to have probs jumping on top of stuff and hearing people coming!

Apart from that I'm an ace!!

The more the merrier I would think at the Moment.

Better than wireplay which seems to descend to mindless abuse between kids.

It was the personal firewall that kept farting me about and crashing the game.

I lose sound sometinmes too anyone know why? I can cure it by leaving the multi player then coming back without quitting CS.

I'm not blaming the technology, but just you wait boyzey!

dunno where the likes of dr hu, peter perfect or new schmoo have gone and blow dog is sellling his house so he did not expect to online.

certainly the more the merrier - i should have 3 peeps online next week - and most weeks, only one was on last night and that was after i'd gone !

Was quite impressed with my new home highway - I'm sure the lower ping was more of an advantage than I expecetd - doesn't help though when your Mum can now get through on the phone on the 2nd line !. Playing C/S and having an conversation about wedding preparations doesn't really work

Is it OK to go on and have a bash anytime? Obviuosly I'm not going to tell the entire Cs-Net what the password is.

Beware mentioning AScoobynet when on CS-net anybody, these punters are like a plague. Most seem OK though.

Do you support punkbuster or do you trust all not to cheat, as we are all grown ups.

I find it difficult to understand some of the things that happen on the public nets, ;people throw a casual glance at you and you're dead. I shot a guy twice in the head at arms length, with a T pistol, and he lost 60 health!!!

What sort of PING should we be expecting with ISDN?

Sorry Guy's I've been a bit busy the last few weeks.....I only tried CS the once, it was OK but I kept getting killed all the time and I never even saw who shot me!!!

I will try to make it again sometime soon - maybe next tuesday.......

The ping that you are getting is not very good for an isdn line....thats why i asked you about your line the other night. I would expect an isdn line to ping under 100 on a UK server but yours seems to be on average over 100. This maybe due to your equipment not beiong setup for plpaying games on the net or it maybe BT screwing things up again (which is more than likely). I will try to help you out lowering your ping when we are in the server.

If punkbuster was put on the server i may have some problems, my line is really bad and i normally ping 230 but this has a bit of lag. Because of the lag punkbuster often thinks that i am cheating and ejects me from the server . However this only happens if the server is full and lots of people are firing at the sametime.

I was playing on ISDN (for the first time...)

I get a ping of Just under a 100 on Wireplay and was averaging approx 50 on Tuesday this compares to 170/150 on my 56K modem.

Deano : get your priorities right - dont answer the phone to anyone, concentrate on the task in hand

ISDN - guess it differs quite a bit as to whether you have ISDN or ISDN 2 ?
