Furking speed cameras
#1
I've only been flashed twice in a 40 mph limit doing 55 mph. I've never heard of a dual carridge way being a 40 mph limit. B@astard, w@nking, pi$$ing fooking cameras.....what will I get for this....? I have my own business and hence rely on my driving licence. I did have a clean licence but now I haven't, how long will it take to come through....? Being zapped twice, is that a guaranteed 3/6 points then.....?

Kev..
Come on guys cheer me up !

Have a look Here I've been flashed before but never heard anything as some cameras that flash twice have no film in or have ran out.
If you hear nothing in 16 days you have got away with it !

The Dummy GATSO
Dummy GATSO's are a great deterrant. They look just like the real thing, they flash just like the real thing. They just don't take any photos. The camera is typically the most expensive part of a gatso installation, followed by the cost of the radar unit. GATSO can supply a cheaper, self-regulating radar unit that will hook up to the flashgun and fire it when a vehicle passes the camera travelling above a set speed. The dummy radar units are much simpler, and measure speed less accurately then their full-cost counterparts. Dummy GATSO units can be set to flash either once (which gives the game away) or more likely, twice (thus mimicking perfectly a fully operational unit.)

Depends if your police force get a share of the Fine if so the chances of it being a dummy are much slimmer as each camera makes the Police a profit.

It was a poxy grey colour, thats why I couldn't see it. It was about 22:30 at night in Bristol passing Filton Avenue heading towards Sainsburys. If it had been a yellow colour then I would of seen it.

Going over the limit by 15 mph, will I get 6 points...?

Sadly you must declare the driver to the authorities, otherwise you will go to court and get a fine and points anyway!
I have recently been done for 56 in a temporary 40 on the A1 south of Edinburgh. The signs and a lot of bollards had been knocked over and therefore at 11.30pm I was not aware of the limit, I also know that the authorities would not even consider the circumstances, so I just paid up and took the points. I think the Police are being used by Government to raise cash, 20% of all Government income is from the motorist, or at least the honest ones. Hope you don't get the points, I am also self employed, but am sure that with the tactics now being used I will be disqualified at some point, not because I am not a loony driver or anything like it, just devious methods of catching us being deployed by Police Forces to raise CASH.

I am pretty sure a case has been proved that to declare who was driving would not only incriminate yourself but any person who may have been driving and is therefore against your human rights.
One of the speed camera websites has all the info.

Book an appointment for the docs asap (if it was to night say, go 2morrow morning), go see him tell him you've had severe ***** for a couple of days and cant get rid...
...then if you get a summons go to court saying you had a medical problem and you had to get to a bathroom asap, atleast you'll then be able to say check my doctors medical records and he'll be able to say you had an appiontment for severe ***** blah blah blah and you might get off on medical grounds...

1990, A40 Witney bypass, 116mph.
I went to court and had in fact really been suffering with severe stomach pains and the sh**ts.
Still got a £260.00 fine and 28 day ban!
Licence came back with no points, so I started fresh and had none until the sneaky tactics lure us to exceed the limit caught me out, such as poorly sited limit signs etc.
