Cool

Been playing this game with a couple of friends for a while now and it has got to the stage where we are so equal that if you are not getting VERY close to the scores below you have no chance. Just wondering what sort of records other people have been able to achieve.

Here is a list of our records so far :

100 Meters : 9.60 Seconds
Long Jump : 8.97 Metres
Pole Vault : 7.00 Metres (Maximum)
Weight Lifting : 280 KG (Maximum)
Rythmic Gymnastics : 10.00 (Maximum)
Horizontal Bar : 9.82
Swimming : 51.17 Seconds
110 Metre Hurdles : 12.87 Seconds
Trap Shooting : 427
Javelin : 102.87 Metres

Anybody able to beat any of these?? Maximum score over the 10 events so far is 13202.

Humpty,

Have you failed to notice the name of this forum?? It's called Non Scooby Related which sort of implies that the posts here are Non Scooby Related. Sorry if the post is of no interest to you but I couldn't find anywhere with a list of International Track and Field 2 records so I though I might enquire here.

As for the comment about my name I take it you are referring to my location?? Well I must apologise if it has upset anyone but after the whole 192.com thing I decided to change it and this was the first thing that popped into my head. If anybody wants me to change it just post here and I will.

Finally can I just say that I hope the rest of your posts on scoobynet will be more constructive and enlightening??

Can't remember exactly, as I only played it during my Christmas hols, but my mate put the javelin onto the edge of the track, either 104 or 106m, never managed it again afterwards.
10 for the Rythmic Gymnastics, are you insane, I used to hate that event witha passion, I was just happy to see over 6
Had something similar to your time for the swimming, but it escapes me at the moment, ended up setting the dvd box along the end of the controller, with the controller balanced between my knees and just moving the dvd box up and down.
100m was 9.64 I think, my finger is still trying to recover, but I doubt it will ever have the same amount of skin it had before we hired that game out

Humpty,

I find your name very distateful as I am obese and have recently fallen off a wall meaning emergency treatment from all the kings horses and all the kings men. This, unfortunately, was not successful.

Geezer,

True, but I find hauling my fat *** around France SS2 quicker than you very easy

Humpty,

I thought my user name would answer that question for you.
I thought 'Scottish' was the term for bad-tempered.....................or was that humourless?

Joey,
if you cannot improve, why not try the wheelchair speedway instead?

DazV,

In multiplayer mode (Up to 8 players using two taps) it is excellent. Lets just say that the Playstation 2 is now known as the Track and Field machine.

Last time I can remember this happening was with 4 player Mario Cart on the N64.

Last time that happened it was Summer Games on the c64!!

Gran Turismo should be good - up to 8 human drivers in the same race!

I've never actually played T & F 2 but my mate says that it is good, especially multiplayer. It's not my usual sort of thing, I can't wait for GT3!
Here are my mates time/lengths/scores/etc:
100 Metres : 9.61 sec
Long Jump : 9:04 Metres
Pole Vault : 6.90 Metres
Weight Lifting : 280 KG (Max)
Rhythmic Gym : 9.96
Horizontal Bars : 9.77
Swimming : 51.21
110 Hurdles : 13.61
Trap Shoot : 399
Javelin : 103.48 Metres
Overall Score : 12227

Only beats Joey on the Javelin and equal on Weight Lifting.

Check out

Zaz,

I can't believe it finally a sensible post!!!!

Your friend has also beat us on Long Jump!! I have to admit that these are a list of the best scores between the 3 of us and my worst event is pole vault as I can only get 6.41 Meters for some reason!!

That website is pretty good although it only lists the overall scores not scores for each event. Seems my score would put me 249th in the world.

Zaz,

Did you see the bit about GT3 for the PS2 on Sky last night? Can't remember the programme but I think it was 'Game Over' or something.

It showed a few rolling screenshots and it looked totally awesome.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...................PS2.

I'm off round to my mate's place for a beer and PS2 evening, see whether we can beat you on any other events. I suspect after a few beers there'll be no chance!

As for GT3, unfortunately I don't have Sky so couldn't see the program but I have been keeping an eye on various websites and seen a few screen shots and movies. Looks good.

There was also a playable demo on a magazine cover disk last month which I never got round to buying and apparently it is very nice. Can't wait!
