that was some shyte, it happened to my ssx, and im still waiting for SONY to return my shyte, i dont wanna hafta go to japan and bust a cap up in some ones a$$, its now been over five weeks with no psx2, yet i was able to go back to funcoland and get a new version of ssx...

Me and a few mates bought PS2s at the start of Feb, no problems so far.
JoeyD you say that you are getting scratches, are you running the machine vertically? I was told by a guy in a local Game shop that having the machine vertically can put major scratches on the disks that stop them from working! I don't know what Sony's official word is on this.

hes full of shyte, that crack monkey should be werkin at the local junker, mines was layin down flat!!!! it has everything to do with the laser's positioning!!
