Good idea chaps!

Ian - Does my contract allow me to take part in this championship???

Cheers

Simon

DAMN!

Simon DB has found us

Is that time applicable to SS5 in the UK Simon?

The general rule is that we are allowed to use WRC cars and you have to use a Penny Farthing

Seriously though, welcome aboard!!
Don't forget, only WRC cars allowed. I have it on good authority that a sub 3:10 may be posted later today!!!

Ok, I've been nominated to name this weeks stage as I was the quickest on last weeks (just thought I'd get that one in), even though I was hounded all the way by J !!!

Ok, it's United Kingdom SS5 (I think it's called Dalton?).
It's the first proper forest stage and has some nastily placed log piles !!

I had a quick run througfh last night and I'll start with

3:15.52.

3.....2......1.......GO!!

What car did you do that time in Blubs?

By the way, Secret Agent Man was accused of home advantage last week so what is your excuse for UK SS5 then?

Think I might have to give you and Geezer a lesson in committed on the edge over driving the stage tonight!!!!

Ha Ha ha

Stop whinging and get on with it

I just thought I'd put a real ball acher in to test everyones patience.

Max,

206. That time included a large spin into the trees, so I'm hoping to get it down a bit tonight!

J,

That could not have been closer! Great fun though!!

Don't count out Luchertola. He's a mate of mine and though he's a major fool he's a force to be reckoned with.

Blubs,

Luchertola raises a few question marks for a user name, surely Nosferatu would have been closer to the mark, either that or Buster Bloodvessel. , anyhow you have to question anyone that drives with the 'bonnet' view -IMHO

3:18:66 - my God, I'm within 3 secs of blubs! I fear his time will tumble rather more than mine though.

Geezer,

I'm sorry you must have mis-understood.

3:15.52 was my time to walk through the stage before I drove it

To make it easier why don't we say you can only use the Impreza WRC? After all this is Scoobynet .

Don't agree with using just one car.

I find that different cars suit different styles (and this IS the Non Scooby Related forum after all )

There's no real way to prove the times other than J's way of scanning a photo of the finish screen (have a look at the other CMR2 Championship thread).

Other than that its down to honesty i think.

My first attempt 3:19.21. Well off the pace but a great deal of room for improvement. Not a stage I am familiar but it is one that certainly rewards familiarity. Good choice Blubs.

What racing view do U guys use and are you using gears or auto. Just curious.

Cheers Scott.

I just had a quick go...

no better though, will try to have a proper go at it tonight.

Scott
Driver's Eye view
Manual Gears

I actually really like this stage it has a fairly authentic feel..

The last two stages oh UK (the two you get after completing "expert") are the most authentic feeling stages in the game I reckon.

This is what happens when you don't have a single competitive drive for 18 months!!! lol

Cheers

Actually, I've commissioned 'Deep Thought' to work out my stage time, but I'm worried the operators may turn into mice before it delivers the answer

I don't understand this either, but I've just looked at my best time on UK SS5 and it's 2:57.68. I haven't been within 7 or 8 seconds on the other times, so don't ask me.

If anyone can tell me how to display the screenshot I can get using HyperSnap-DX you could all see it (except it's using my real initials!).

Anone worked out how to do it? It will save the shot in a variety of formats inclusing .bmp and .jpg.

I'm off now to see if it was an aberration...

.....er, I think I've got some work to do.

3:11.34

With the depressing knowledge that I don't think I can lop much off that!!

I have noticed that all you guys seem to use drivers eye or similar, when I use the 'chase car cam' view. I think I know what I'll be doing tonight!!

cheers (and boo-hoo)

Cool

Hrmff... 3:13.13 with the mighty Scoob! Need to replace my co-driver me thinks! ;-)

What's with the rock-hard haybails loitering about the countryside?? *boink*

Last time I was over in UK I think I remember hay being this soft harmless stuff that horses eat... not lethal Scooby-killer-weed!!

...back to practise (tonight)!

I beat my last time on my very next run through the stage, but thought I'd save posting here as I was bound to beat it again, but haven't had a chance to play again (and won't be able to today) so....
