3 times now in the past 2 months or so, I've had a problem when I open my eyes for the first time in the morning. It feels like someone just poked me in the (just one) eye hard, and I can't really do anything for about half an hour. During which time my eye is streaming like you've never seen before, and it feels like I have something in my eye.

It feels almost as if my eyelid has become stuck the the eyeball over night.

I'm going to see the doc about this, but wondered if there were any people with similar experiences.

Over-active Tyroid Gland is what my missus's 'Women Owns' magazine (which i don't read - ahem!) said might be a result of the symptons you give. I'm no doctor but thats what they said!

Apparently get your doctor to check it out. But if he starts putting on the rubber gloves.....

Hope it helps.

not conjunctivitis I don't think, as there is no goo of any sort. And it only happens from time to time, happened about 6 weeks ago, this morning, but nothing in between.

My sleep of late has been poor (new baby).

See what the doc says.
