Hi
My phone was on everyday 50 and I changed to Orange just talk, they didn't charge me and I even got £5 worth of free calls. My one year contract had run out but I was still on the scheme, I'm not sure if that makes a diffrence or not?

Find a sympathetic phone shop and they may be able to help. I had my Timeport unblocked whilst in HK for UKP 20, in the UK its around UKP25. They'll need your phone overnight to do it.

... of course you could always pay the GBP40 and have a "legit" phone for transfer, or even buy one from Virgin in the first place (they are NOT expensive).
...or you could simply expect something for nothing, and the rest of us to pay for the difference (there ain't no such thing as a free lunch)!!!
